This thesis aims to offer an insight into what it means to "live with the flood" through the case study of the Matra neighbourhood in Romorantin-Lanthenay. This neighbourhood was built to be resilient to flooding. In 2016, a flood described as a one-in-a-thousand affected the town of Romorantin-Lanthenay. By comparing Matra and another close neighbourhood, this study examines the differences in the experiences and perceptions of residents during and after the flood.
