The study examines how the use of self-regulation strategies and self-efficacy can influence goal progress over time for individuals in young adulthood. It was expected that there is a positive effect of self-regulation strategies on goal progress. Furthermore, it was expected that the effect of self-regulation strategies on goal progress is mediated by self-efficacy, such that self-regulation strategies have an indirect effect on goal progress through self-efficacy.
