Automorphic Forms Related to Moduli Spaces of Curves
Summary
In the experimental calculations of the cohomology of curves of genus g, some parts have been found that relate to Siegel modular forms of degree g. However, there are also parts of the cohomology that are not understood. Some of these parts seem to correspond to automorphic representations associated to special orthogonal groups. Our task is to give an explanation for this.
