        Summary
A study into the effects the merging of Young Adult Literature and crime fiction into the sub-genre Young Adult Crime Fiction has on translation. The characterising features and translation difficulties of both Young Adult Literature and crime fiction will be identified. By analyzing Maureen Johnson's Young Adult Crime Fiction novel Truly Devious, these features and translation difficulties will be applied to the sub-genre Young Adult Crime Fiction. The findings of the study will be employed in the translation of several excerpts of the case-study novel.
