        Summary
We created a model to support instructors in using serious games based on the current situation for serious game instructors in the Dutch army, and the psychological concepts of Flow and Intrinsic motivation. We develop a serious game in which this model is then implemented and use this to test the effectiveness of the model in an experiment in which the test subjects assume the role of instructor. By comparing the results of the test subjects supported by our model with the results of the test subjects not supported by our model, we conclude that the results are too insignificant. This is most likely due to the impact of game proficiency, as it was observed that some test subjects were very good at using the serious game, but others were not.
