The "Cruelty" in La Fura dels Baus

Abstract

This dissertation analyses how the audience is affected in the performances of La Fura dels Baus while the company follows the dramaturgical strategies of Antonin Artaud's "theatre of cruelty". A study on shock effect through the performances "Suz/o/Suz", "Imperium" and "Degustacion de Titus Andronicus".
