        Summary
Adolescents’ spent a large part of their time on social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. Very little research has been done to investigate the link between social media and social self-concept and social media and physical self-concept. But there is little to no research about the two kinds of self-concept next to each other. The present study investigates the link between social media and both kinds of self-concept. Adolescents’ (N=1032, 50,2% male) from different families in The Netherlands were surveyed. The results showed that the more frequent social media is used, the higher the social self-concept, but the lower the physical self-concept. The present study highlights the relationship between social media and the two kinds of self-concept.
