Might and Morality in Harry Potter: The Power of Narrative Imagination

Abstract

This essay explores the possibility of narrative imagination as a form of moral activism, examining the Harry Potter books in this context. Looking at issues of power and morality, the difference in level of empathy for the Other (non-magical people and non-human magical creatures) between the hero and the villian is explored.
