Universal Grammar in Signed Languages

Abstract

This thesis provides arguments to support the claim that there is evidence for the existence of a Universal Grammar in signed languages covering the acquisition process (deaf baby babbling), grammatical issues (WH-Movement in ASL) and the neural basis of language (brainscans).
