Le Mystère comme expression religieuse

Abstract

Analysis the relation between the religious function and comic expression in the mystery plays. An analysis of the comic in Andre de la Vigne's Mystery play Le Mystere de Saint Martin (1492) brings to the conclusion the comic is used to critic social values is not really meant to disturb its religious character.
