Austria and Prussia: German unification in the nineteenth century

Abstract

This thesis discusses the nineteenth century German unification. It compares political and socio-economic developments in Prussia and Austria and the effects of these changes on the ability of Austria and Prussia to influence and take a leading role German politics.
