dc.subject | We looked at how the menstrual cycle influences self-image and how affect plays a part in this. Results showed that cycle phase did not have a significant effect on self-image, nor did it influence affect. Positive affect significantly predicted positive self-image and the same held true for negative affect and negative self-image. Our study suggests a trait-like nature of self-image and a need to further explore factors influencing affect and self-image changes in relation to menstrual cycle. | |
