Abstract

This was a short review to find the ideal HER2 diagnostic test to select women with breast cancer for trastuzumab therapy. Two medical databases were searched for relevant articles and studies. After screening 6 relevant aricles remained, which were assessed using adapted Cochrane tools. Fluoresence in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry were found to be the best tests for selecting patients that would benefit from trastuzumab treatment.
