Employment Types and Work-Life Balance among Chinese Immigrant Women in the Netherlands
Summary
This research contributes to the work-life balance literature by exploring the experience of Chinese female immigrants working in the Netherlands. Employing semi- structured in-depth interviews, I aim to understand how they perceive the work-life balance or conflict as Asian immigrants living in Europe. This study also examines the impact of employment types and identifies two mechanisms through which employment types impact their ability to achieve work-life balance.
