Quadratic forms and Hasse's local-global principle

Abstract

In this thesis we will discuss the topic of quadratic forms and we will prove Hasse’s local-global principle. This is a theorem that allows us to determine if a quadratic form with coefficients in the set of rational numbers has a nontrivial zero.
