        This thesis examines the gendered media self-representations of young women with Borderline Personality Disorder in the context of postfeminist and neoliberal digital cultures. Advocating for the media practices of girls and young women to be read in new ways by feminist scholars of media and culture, as opposed to previous practices of reading this content as “problematic,” it attempts to put such an approach to practice.
