dc.subject | This thesis project concerns the mathematical analysis of surgical data. In total knee arthoplasty surgery a robotic-arm assisted surgery system is used to guide the surgeon during the procedure. The use of smart instruments in an operating theatre is still akin to black box thinking. A multifaceted and multidisciplined approach is therefore necessary for a more proactive approach within healthcare. To meet this aim we examine smart tools that can support surgeons with their decision making. | |
