dc.subject | We design a directional field guided by a rig and skinning weights belonging to a mesh. We optimize the directional field to align to the direction of the rig, while regulating for the smoothness and the orthogonality of the directional objects. Like this, the field is a good fit for downstream applications like quad meshing for animation. We explore how different parameters affect the performance and outcome of the algorithm. | |
