        Summary
Abstract The mediation of resilience on the correlation between hope and wellbeing has been studied via a cross-sectional design on 305 Dutch participants. Hope and resilience are constructs who can help people shed perspective on adverse situations. This research has been conducted during COVID-19, which changed life for the general population. Participants participated online by filling in questionnaires. Data were analyzed via regression and mediation analysis. Exploratory analyses have been conducted with moderation analysis. Positive correlations were found between all studied constructs and a partial mediating effect of resilience on the correlation between hope and wellbeing was found. Results imply that during adversity, hope and resilience can be protective factors against lower wellbeing. Keywords: Hope, resilience, wellbeing, COVID-19.
