        Summary
In general, this case study has researched the position of the nation-state and nationalism in the age of globalism, by focussing upon minorities and the relationship between national and religious identities. In particular, this case study examines the relationship between Scottish Nationalism and Muslims in Glasgow. The Scottish National Party (SNP) has a positive relationship with Muslims. This thesis analysis this relationship especially by focussing upon the use of the term ‘civic’. The SNP is portrayed as civic and claimed to be a civic form of nationalism by Muslims.
