dc.description.abstract | The ocean is an important sink of CO2, its uptake of this gas is partly controlled by the ocean circulation. In this thesis we develop a carbon cylce model with a variable atlantic meridional overturning circulation. We find with our model that a collapse of the AMOC leads to an increased uptake of CO2, which in turn leads to a decreased atmospheric CO2 concentration. | |
