        Summary
This thesis is about the way the Indigenous community in Vancouver is negotiating its cultural heritage. This negotiation takes place in a context of processes of inclusion and exclusion. Boundaries between Indigenous people and non-Indigenous people are made on a daily basis since colonisation. Through reconnecting to their cultural heritage, Indigenous people in Vancouver are trying to overcome these boundaries and reclaim the space they lost. This reconnecting is mainly done by becoming more visible.
