A total of 66 respondents (Mage = 41.19, SD = 10.95) participated in this research. The sample contains only women and has a distribution of 57 pedagogical staff and 9 care consultants. A regression analyses and moderation analyses have been conducted. Results No significant results have been found for the correlation between feeling of competence regarding conversational skills, and the number of child abuse reports. Also, work function and work experience do not have a moderating effect here. However, care consultants generally report more than pedagogical staff. Discussion It is important that more research is done on the coherence between feeling of competence regarding conversational skills and the number of child abuse reports, because the current research is based on a small sample with a skewed distribution between pedagogical staff and care consultants. It is also important to investigate other possible factors that affect the number of child abuse reports.
