This article focuses on the test-retest reliability of a new test instrument: de Testbatterij voor het meten van Aandacht en Impulscontrole bij Kleuters. Additional factors are analysed to test the validity of the instrument, these are age, sex and academic achievement. The instrument exists of four different tasks: the sustained attention task, selective attention task, the Go/No-Go task and the counterpointing task. 44 typical developing pre-schoolers were tested, 13 of them were retested. This research shows that the sustained attention task and the counterpointing task are test-retest reliable, the other tasks however are not. None of the subtasks correlates with sex or academic achievement. All of the subtasks correlate with age. However, the sample size is too small to draw generalizing conclusions. Further research is necessary.
