The Urban Natural: urban sustainable planning in Stockholm

Abstract

We explored how the different dimensions of sustainability - environmental, social and economic - were negotiated in the urban sustainable planning project of Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm. The thesis explored this topic through the sub aspects of policies and urban design projects. The thesis is based on 10 weeks of fieldwork at location.
