D*+ meson systematics on yield extraction and particle identification in lead-lead interactions at √s=5.02 TeV in 0-10% and 30-50% centrality classes
Summary
The systematics on yield extraction and particle identification in 0-10% and 30-50% centrality classes for the D*+ meson in a lead-lead collision at center of mass energy √s=5.02 TeV are reported in this thesis. The D*+ is reconstructed in the decay channel D*+ → D0π+ → K-π+π+ by means of the invariant mass method. For 0-10% and 30-50% centrality classes about 10 million and 23 million events are analysed respectively. The D*+ has been reconstructed in the range 1<p<36 GeV/c. A Monte Carlo-simulation from LHC16i2a and LHC16i2b was ran to check the acceptance of the data.
