dc.description.abstractWe explore the Landau levels in strongly coupled systems under an external magnetic field by means of the AdS/CFT duality. We start off by providing a classical computation of the landau levels where we follow the original computations of Lev Landau. Then we start looking at strongly coupled systems using the Field Theory/Gravity duality. Here we will follow the earlier papers of T.Albash and C.V.Johnson on the holographic approach to landau levels and fermi liquids where we look at the effects of an external magnetic field on the energy levels of 2+1 dimensional strongly coupled field theories holographically duel to charged AdS4 black holes at zero temperature. We also compute the spectral functions and consider its solutions in the simplest case of omega = 0
