Lost in Motion: Towards a Materialist Account of Anorexia

Abstract

This thesis explores the condition of anorexia from a materialist, Spinozist angle. In response to the linguistic-poststructuralist paradigm on anorexia within feminist scholarship, this thesis suggests an understanding of the condition in terms of embodiment, suffering, and death.
