In this report we present the performance of a prototype based on Medipix3RX technology for low-dose energy-resolved mammography. We show that current detection methods are inadequate and that there are significant gains to be made by moving to multispectral imaging. We subsequently discuss and demonstrate the capabilities of the Medipix3RX and show how we can use this multispectral information detect cancerous growths in the field of mammography. The focus of the work is on the computer interface that has been developed and the first images taken with it.
