Politics of Bereavement: Women's Narratives of Continuing Bonds in a Post dictatorial Argentine Society

Abstract

The thesis explores how women who have lost family members during the Argentine dictatorship maintain a continuing bond with their missing loved ones. By approaching bereavement not only as oppressive, the author illustrates how bereavement can become a source for increasing capacities to act.
