Indispensable revolutionary leaders? The roles of Orange and Cromwell in the Dutch and English revolutions

Abstract

Orange and Cromwell were both leaders in early modern revolutions. This thesis explains how they came to the fore, how they influenced the revolutionary paths and what their ideologies were. Moreover, the thesis compares both leaders to find differences and similarities.
