dc.description.abstract | In this thesis I will discuss the behaviour of a quantum wire in a transverse field on top of a superconductor. Before discussing this problem I will introduce second quantisation. We can then deal with an one dimensional chain of atoms, on which fermions can hop to neighbouring site. Then I discuss the Ising chain in a transverse field, from there we can deal with the final problem. | |
