        Summary
The main question that this research addresses is: “How is the power of the United States government conceptualized in the debates about online piracy and Wikileaks?” This research will explore several related issues, such as the imperial discourse in the debates, the conceptualization of the internet itself, and how American power is resisted on the internet.
