The Lebanese Exception Why Lebanon has been immune to the Arab Spring

Abstract

Lebanon has been relatively immune to the Arab Spring. This thesis looks at the causes of the Arab Spring and at why Lebanon has been immune to it. One of the main arguments is that the Lebanese sectarian system prevents the Lebanese from uniting.
