The effect of Feedback Polarity on the Sales and Prices on cryptomarket AlphaBay
Summary
In this thesis, the effects of feedback text polarity on the sales and prices on cryptomarket AlphaBay are assessed. First, the effect of qualitative feedback vs. quantitative feedback is compared by means of multiple linear regression. Multiple linear regression is also used to determine whether positive polarity has a positive influence on the number of sales as well as the prices per gram of the items sold on AlphaBay, and finally, an assessment is made of the effects of positive feedback vs. nonpositive feedback. The results obtained mostly support preceding research, however, some results raise more questions than they answer.
