        Summary
In this explorative research perception of CSR policy was researched among managers of two large Dutch companies. Based on a small amount of prior research, the expectation was formed that employees view CSR as important for their work motivation. Two central measures of motivation: commitment to the organization and job satisfaction were used to explore this notion. Findings suggest that CSR is viewed as important and necessary for organisation in current times. The impact of CSR on commitment to the organization and job satisfaction however, is considered in between minimal and somewhat. Importance of CSR for motivation seems to differ per employee. Another finding suggests that employees attribute more value to the values of the organization, than on CSR policy. A mission statement or social atmosphere are considered important factors in the everyday experience at work.
