Many things have already been written about Martin Amis and his work. So far, journalists and academics mainly focussed on the relationship with his father Kingsley and his early novels The Rachel Papers and Money. In this thesis, the focus shifts to his latest – and least familiar - works to see whether a significant change in Amis’ writing can be detected. The analysis is based on three significant novels : Experience, Yellow Dog and The Pregnant Widow.
