Knowlegde management in Clube de Galitos Remo

Abstract

In this research the main focus is on how the members of a small rowing club in Portugal give meaning to the concept of knowledge management and how this is expressed within the club. In the theoretical framework there are given some general challenges for volunteer organizations in relation to knowledge management. In the rowing club we can see a few of these challenges, like lack of money and manpower. To development good knowledge management within the club, there are also some challenges on the area of personal relationships and their facilities.
