dc.description.abstractThis thesis deals with tourism promotion and marketing in small Dutch cities. Brochures and websites used by the cities Gouda, Schiedam and Delft are analyzed in order to get a view of their tourism strategies. The websites and brochures are analyzed based on findings of literature reviews. To find out what the plans for tourism are, policy documents of all cities have been analyzed. Based on these findings it became clear that all cities have tourism visions and ambitions, but it is difficult to translate these visions on the tourism websites and brochures. All three cities use their key selling points to distinguish themselves from other (similar) cities.
