dc.description.abstract	It is known that bilingual people have an advantage over monolinguals in various linguistic and non-linguistic respects. The question is whether the same goes for bidialectals, speakers of the standard variety and a dialect. In the present study, bidialectals are compared to monolinguals on their pronunciation of English. The study was done by recording the speech of 30 participants. Their pronunciation of English was judged by seven pronunciation experts. It was expected that bidialectals would have a more native-like pronunciation in the third language than monolinguals. The outcome of the study showed no significant difference between the groups.
