dc.description.abstract | This qualitative study aims to develop a tool to gain insight into digital media use and provides insight into various challenges with regulating digital media within intensive treatment groups. We conducted 17 interviews, eight with varying healthcare providers, two with parents, and seven with children. A thematic analysis was applied. Results show that healthcare providers and the department lack tools and information to provide to parents, and that a clear and new policy in which the roles and responsibilities are divided is required. In addition, through interviews and discussions, a questionnaire is developed by combining the views of various healthcare providers. Using this questionnaire, the department can quickly gain information on the use of digital media by children and their parents, and take action if necessary. Current findings can be used to form a policy and provide tools for parents and health professionals. | |
