In recent years, glucose variability (GV) has emerged as a potential risk factor of postoperative complications. Several studies have shown that postoperative glucose variability is associated with an elevated risk of postoperative complications, such as infections. However, very limited research was conducted on intraoperative GV. This study aims to assess whether intraoperatvely measured glucose variability increases the risk of postoperative infectons within 30 days.
