This thesis explores the impact of surveillance technologies, such as drones and biometric data collection, on privacy and data protection in conflict zones. It uses case studies from Ukraine and Palestine to examine the limitations of current International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in safeguarding these rights during armed conflicts. The thesis proposes revisions to these legal frameworks to better protect civilians' privacy in the digital age.
