This thesis focusses on the central question: In what way does the social capital of indigenous Cabecar families contribute to the coping strategy of seasonal migration? To answer that question I focus on the bonding and bridging social social networks of members of this community, during the harvest season in the coffee region of Los Santos in Costa Rica.
