This study aims to further examine whether anxiety, as measured by the strongly anxiety-correlated construct of neuroticism, can be related to exploratory behavior while considering the influence of sex and self–efficacy. Additionally, the Yerkes-Dodson law is proposed as a potential underlying mechanism through which exploratory behavior could be understood as a means of arousal regulation.
