Oral numerosity is the ability to feel and enumerate the number of things in one's mouth. Given the active involvement of the tongue in oral numeration and its high sensitivity, we hypothesized that individual differences would arise in oral numerosity based on oral tactile acuity. Additionally, due to previous research in numerosity highlighting the effect of stimuli characteristics, we expected that stimuli size would affect accuracy and behaviour in the oral numerosity task.
