dc.subject | Formalin is the most commonly used fixative for the preservation of zooplankton morphology. The toxic and carcinogenic properties of the substance highlight the need for an alternative solution. DESS solution is an effective alternative to ethanol for the preservation of DNA. In this study, its effectiveness was explored in preserving zooplankton morphology to potentially eliminate the need for two separate preservation methods for DNA and morphology. | |
