In this thesis, alloyed Pd-Ni/SBA-15 NPs of different atomic ratios (Pd:Ni 1:20, 1:15, 1:10, and 1:7) were prepared by incipient wetness co-impregnation. Structure-performance relationships were investigated in the liquid phase selective hydrogenation of: cinnamaldehyde (CAL), citral, and 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol (MBY). The activity, selectivity, and stability of the Pd-Ni/SBA-15 catalysts were compared to that of Pd/SBA-15 and Ni/SBA-15.
