My research, explored from a decolonial perspective how the classroom space within institutes of tertiary education, which is projected as a diverse and equal environment for all, is experienced by the students of colour. This research was conducted qualitatively via body-mapping (2009) and liminagraphy (2023), drawing from a strong belief that western academia needed to open itself up to the desires and needs of its students of colour.
