This project presents a pipeline for a first approach to material separation using Medipix3 detectors in known samples. It describes an energy threshold calibration method that improves the reconstruction of the thickness and overall shape of a sample and is then used to distinguish different materials and their proportion in a sample with three plastics, evaluating its usability and studying its limitations.
